The Bratislava Symphony Orchestra has successfully completed the recording of the soundtrack for Torrente Presidente, the latest installment of one of the most successful and highest-grossing franchises in the history of Spanish cinema. The score, an ambitious work by the prestigious composer Roque Baños, was conducted by David Hernando Rico and recorded at the iconic Studio 2 of the Slovak National Radio.
A Resounding Success at the Box Office and Among Critics
Since its release, the film has established itself as an indisputable commercial phenomenon, surpassing €24 million in box office receipts. With more than 3.2 million viewers in theaters, the film has not only led the national market but also achieved the fourth-best historical debut for a Spanish production.
Cultural Impact
Critics have highlighted the score recorded in Bratislava as a key element in emphasizing the political satire and the epic-grotesque tone of the work. The film's massive media impact has once again demonstrated the enduring relevance of the character created by Santiago Segura, whose ability to draw massive audiences remains a fundamental pillar of the Spanish film industry.
